Work hard

I know I need to work hard at maintaining my level of commitment to the Lord and to seeking Him first. Already there are some verses I committed to memory a week or two back that have started to get fuzzy as I have not been dwelling on them and reciting them. Getting the scriptures inside of you is not an easy process. When you see someone who knows and can quote scripture off by heart and lots of it, that right there is a sign of time spent before the Lord.

By your fruit they shall know you. Fruit is just evidence of what has been planted and what seed has been sown. If you sow peas, you get peas. If you sow time in the word of God, you get the word coming out of you, and building up and strengthening your faith. So, one has to really spend the time. Today we want a pill for everything, a pill to lose weight so we don’t have to spend time in the gym or deny ourselves food we don’t need. We want a pill to build muscle. We want a pill to help us sleep, instead of setting our mind on the promises of God.

God’s world is the two sided coin. When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. We don't get the one sided coin until we get to heaven.
