Romans 2: 4 Are you unmindful or actually ignorant [of the fact] that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repent
Wow, so I am waiting to see if God will do a miracle in this situation with regards training, and I get a call from a very dear friend of mine, a musician. He calls me and says it is really urgent that he and I chat, and this is so urgent it cannot wait.
Then basically we sat and for 45 minutes he shared with me about how incompetent the new worship pastor is in our church. I sat there with my mouth hanging open. The thing is that this chap has good motives. He wants to do good and he wants to be a blessing. It is however becoming quite common place and a pattern of behaviour that when something is wrong (or at least he perceives is wrong) in the church, he comes and unloads onto me. Am I being too sympathetic? I try always to listen for the nugget of truth. “They say” that there is a nugget of truth in all criticism, so I try to dig it out.
Nevertheless for the first time today I really had to oppose him. We really spoke from opposite angles and I am reminded that I shared on our leaders retreat that wolves will come up from within our own people to pull us down (somewhere in Corinthians). Now this guy could be right, but there is more to it than what he is talking about on the surface. I know I am an optimist and don't like to look at the negative, but in my position of running a company I often have to. Now in the church we have to face facts too.
But again I am drawn to Romans 2:4 speaking about the kindness of God. God is a kind God. I am gonna need some serious wisdom from father on this one.
