It is really cool to think that Jesus is my brother. When we give our lives to the Lord, the Bible says that we are born again and that we become joint heirs with Jesus.
We become part of God’s family and it is all grace and nothing to do with anything that we have done. Grace is God’s favour and his kindness and through his grace has provided us with a blessing upon blessing.
Jesus was the firstborn among many brothers as we read in the book of Romans, and it is wonderful to know that I am one of those brothers. God always speaks about family. We know that Jesus was very close to his mother while he was on Earth. something amazing happens when we begin. We are immediately given Sun ship into the family of God. We are no longer strangers with God that we are as if we had been born from him. If Jesus was the firstborn of many brethren, then we the rest of brethren.
We have a father who loves us, and Jesus is our brother who cannot wait to be with us when we finally go home to be with him when the life on this earth comes to an end. Do you know God in this way that you have become a part of his family? He reveals himself and all the secrets of sonship and of family in the Bible. One of the best places to read is in the book of John, the Gospel of John. If you read the Gospel of John from the beginning and read it a few times you’ll learn everything you need to do to become a member of God’s family.
